Why the Lubavitch Restaurant in Glasgow should be and must be supported
From the Desk of Rabbi Jeremy Rosen New York. USA
16 March 2006
Dear Chaim & Sora
I write to encourage you to persevere in your efforts to establish a kosher restaurant in Glasgow.
There are all kinds of arguments against trying to set up a kosher restaurant particularly given the record of past failures.
But I believe your project is different for two reasons:
First of all you are trying
to establish a place where young and not so young Jews can get together
in a conducive atmosphere. You have a social and communal agenda which
raises the projectís profile and adds
an important extra ingredient.
With warmest regards to you, your family and all the wonderful people of Glasgow I have such fond memories of.
